The agent of the Elephant Ivory Coast national team's forward Didier Drogba revealed that the player will sign a new four-year contract with the club as soon as the "Blues" return from the pre-season camp in the USA. The forward had been linked with a move to the French "Lyon" and Italian "Milan" clubs.
D.Drogba's agent Tserno Saidi announced that the player will tie his future with the "Chelsea" team: "Didier will sign a new contract with Chelsea as soon as the club returns from the United States. We have already agreed on the new contract and just need to finalize a few details, which should be resolved soon."
Reportedly, the 28-year-old player will sign the contract and earn 95 thousand pounds sterling per week.
The African player moved from the "Marseille" team to "Chelsea" in 2004 for 24 million pounds and while wearing the "Blues" jersey, he played in 59 matches and scored 36 goals.
