The teams started the game actively, but the first goal came only in the middle of the half, when Paulinho broke into the penalty area and the referee Audrius Kancleris noted Deividas Lunskis' foul on the young Brazilian. "Vilnius" striker Muller took the penalty kick and calmly defeated the "Siauliai" goalkeeper with a precise shot.

The game later equalized, and the closest to scoring the equalizing goal was the legionnaire Genadijus Ščekotilinas, who shot wide of the goal from the penalty area passes after Ilja Galiuzo. The result remained unchanged until half-time, with the hosts leading 1-0.

In the 59th minute, "Siauliai" striker Gediminas Butavicius had a hundred percent opportunity, but he failed to score from close range. As the second half progressed, the guests found it harder to approach the hosts' goal, with a lot of tough play happening in the midfield.

In the 79th minute, I.Galiuzo took a dangerous free kick, but the ball did not find the net again. However, with just two minutes left in the game, after a Ukrainian's unsuccessful corner kick, the ball rolled past all the players crowded in the penalty area, and Andrius Šidlauskas equalized the score with a powerful shot from outside the box.

Inspired by the goal, the Siauliai team tried to snatch a victory, but they were almost punished on counterattacks by the hosts - twice I.Lukovičs threatened Paulinho's goal, and in the fourth minute of added time after a header pass from Vytautas Lukša, Juca shot from a difficult position, but the ball did not reach his teammate or the goal, and "Siauliai" managed to keep the score level.

This was already the 11th draw for "Vilnius" this season, meaning that the team's Brazilian coach Caio Zanardi is still without a victory, while the result allowed the Siauliai team to maintain the seventh position and a three-point lead over the capital team.
