As expected, former defender Stephan Dalmatas will play in his hometown next season - the player has signed a contract with the team that finished as runners-up in the French league last season.
The 27-year-old Frenchman arrived at "Racing" just last summer, along with his younger brother Wilfred, but the defender failed to establish himself in the main squad of the Spanish team, so he spent most of the season on the bench.
At the end of the season, the player immediately expressed his desire to leave the Spanish team and move to a club in his native country, which is now "Bordeaux". Dalmatas' transfer to "Bordeaux" cost nothing, as his contract with "Racing" had already expired.
"He is a player who can fill the gaps on the left side of our team," said "Bordeaux" coach Ricardo Gomes about his new acquisition.
Last season, Dalmatas had already successfully played in "Ligue 1" when he was on loan to the team of "Toulouse". He started his career at "Chateauroux", later played for "Lens" with which he won the French Cup in 1999, "Marseille", and "P.S.G", then in 2001 moved to "Inter".
