Returning to the French team from the Greeks for 4.5 million euros is the African Yaya Toure, for whom this is already the fourth club in the fourth different country in Europe.
The 23-year-old defender from Ivory Coast, who signed a four-year contract with the new club, is the younger brother of the defender Kolo Toure playing for the London team, who earlier this year urged the English team's coach Arsene Wenger to buy the player.
"He is a better player than me. He is a true defender and can give a lot to our club. He is just fantastic," K.Toure said at that time.
The player, who has represented the national team 17 times, reached the final of the African Cup of Nations with the team in January and later participated in the World Cup.
Y.Toure, like many compatriots, including his brother, started his career in a Belgian team in the Old Continent. Later, before joining the Greek team, the player spent a season and a half playing for Donetsk's "Metalurgs" club.
In the Prince's team, the African will replace the Greek Vassilios Zikos, who returned to his homeland at the beginning of the week - the 32-year-old former national team defender signed a two-year contract with the Athens "AEK" club. In four years at Monaco, he played more than 100 matches in the French league.
