Robert Green became the seventh summer signing for London club, for which he will receive up to £2 million. The player underwent a medical examination at the new club on Wednesday and signed a four-year contract.
As "West Ham" announces, England goalkeeper R. Green has almost recovered from an injury he suffered in a friendly match against Belarus and missed the World Cup.
"It's an exciting time for the club. They have great players and a young English coach. As for returning to the England team, everything will happen gradually. In the 'West Ham' team, I have two good goalkeepers in Roy and Jimmy, but the common goal is to return to the team. I am already fully training and feeling good," said R. Green.
The goalkeeper, who made his debut for "Norwich" in April 1999, played more than 240 matches for the club in seven years. At "West Ham", he will compete with Roy Carroll and Jimmy Walker for a place in the starting lineup, as veteran Shaka Hislop moved to the American club "Dallas".
The London club, participating in the UEFA Cup this summer, has already acquired defenders Tyrone Mears, John Paintsil, George McCartney, and Jonathan Spector, midfielder Lee Bowyer, and forward Carlton Cole.
