Chile's national team and AC Milan's midfielder David Pizarro will be wearing the team jersey next season - the Italian capital club acquired half of the player's rights for 7 million euros and signed a four-year contract with him.
The situation regarding 26-year-old D. Pizarro has been changing for almost a year now, as he did not find a place in the Inter team and last week he was almost agreeing to move to Roma, but at the last moment changed his mind, reportedly not happy with the proposed salary.
However, on Saturday the Chilean spoke with Roma's coach Luciano Spaletti, who coached the player when he represented Udinese, and in the evening both clubs officially announced that Inter sold 50% of the player's rights. He could make his debut already on August 26 in the Italian Super Cup, where Inter and Roma will face each other.
"It's not easy to leave a club like Inter and coach Roberto Mancini tried to convince me to stay, but Roma's owners and coaches persuaded me to change my mind. I don't know if I will be ready for the Super Cup match, but I want to play in it. If Roma keeps the spirit of last year's team, they can also compete for the title", said D. Pizarro.
