On Tuesday, two matches from the second round of the English Premier League were played. "Tottenham" secured their first victory of the season by defeating "Sheffield United" 2-0, while league newcomers "Watford" earned their first point by drawing 1-1 with "West Ham".

In the London matches, "Tottenham" newcomer Dimitar Berbatov opened his goal account in the Premier League, scoring in the seventh minute after a great play by Aaron Lennon.

Just nine minutes later, Jermaine Jenas scored the second goal after a pass from D.Berbatov.

For "Sheffield United," this match was a clear lesson that they need to step up in the Premier League, as "Tottenham" seemed superior to them in almost every aspect of the game.

Through sacrificial and persistent play, "Watford" managed to secure their first point by playing a draw with London's "West Ham". In the first half, the hosts had a chance to take the lead, but Marlon King's shot hit the post.

In the second half of the match, "West Ham" took the initiative, but the hosts scored the first goal - M.King scored from outside the box. However, "Watford" did not lead for long - shortly after a pass from Paulo Konchesky, Bobby Zamora scored.

After the match, "West Ham" coach Alan Pardew admitted that his opponents deserved to win.

Today, six more matches from the second round will be played.
