Sevilla will soon be boosted by the arrival of the attacker Alecsandro, who will join the team for around 3 million euros from "Cruzeiro". The announcement was made by the Brazilian club on Tuesday evening.
Last September, the 25-year-old striker scored 20 goals in 45 matches for "Cruzeiro".
The arrival of this player may mean that Sevilla will have to part ways with another Brazilian, Ricardo Oliveira. The latter had a falling out with the team's management after arriving nine days late to the preseason camp.
Real Betis will kick off the 2006-2007 Spanish championship with an away match against Valencia on Saturday.
