Madrid president Ramon Calderon told journalists on Tuesday that he will negotiate about the possible transfer of Brazilian forward Ronaldo.
"I will talk to the representatives of Milan when they arrive tomorrow," Calderon told journalists on Tuesday. "I know that they have already talked to the player himself and I think that is unfair, but we are ready to welcome representatives of any friendly club."
Calderon insisted that Real Madrid does not want to sell the thirty-year-old forward, who was three times voted the best player in the world, but did not rule out the possibility of such a transfer if Brazilian Kaka was included in the deal.
"We do not want to get rid of him, but we are ready to negotiate," the Real president said. "If Ronaldo wants to leave Madrid, we will have to look for a solution."
"We do not want money, we want something else," the Spaniard said, hinting that he was talking about Kaka. "Ronaldo has told me before that he wants to stay at Real until the end of his contract, but we will see how everything unfolds."
This summer, Real Madrid acquired Dutch international star forward Ruud van Nistelrooy from Manchester United, and many fans were disappointed with Ronaldo's form and displeased with the player's attitude last season.
Brazil will not be able to play in Real Madrid's first La Liga match against Villarreal on Sunday, as he has not yet recovered from a knee operation performed after the World Cup.
It is worth mentioning that not long ago, there were very angry statements coming from the Milan camp. At that time, Real Madrid was called a "no longer great club" and was criticized for illegal actions to acquire Kaka.
