Bosnia and Herzegovina national team and Bayern Munich defender Hasan Salihamidzic, after last week's friendly national team match against France, which the Bosnians lost 2-1, decided to leave his national team. In this match, he was substituted due to stomach pains and later informed national team coach Blaz Sliškovič about his decision.
"I want to focus on playing for Bayern club," said the 29-year-old footballer. "After frequent injuries and ten surgeries over the past ten years, consulting with doctors from the USA and Germany, I decided to say goodbye to the national team."
Sliškovič noted that H. Salihamidzic will be a big loss for the national team. However, according to the coach, health is more important.
Hasan Salihamidzic played 41 matches and scored 6 goals for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
