Madrid has agreed to loan Uruguayan national team defender Carlos Diogo for one season, both Spanish teams confirmed on Wednesday evening.
23-year-old C. Diogo, who can play both as a right back and a right midfielder, moved to Real in July 2005, but appeared rarely in the Royal club, especially after Brazilian national team defender Cicinho was acquired in January.
Zaragoza finished the last season in 11th place in the Spanish championship, but strengthened significantly this summer when they acquired Argentine national team defenders Pablo Aimar and Andres D'Alessandro.
