T

he owner of Milano, Massimo Moratti, assured the team's head coach Alberto Zaccheroni that he can stay with the team, even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. In an interview with the newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport," Moratti spoke about the coach: "Zac deserves to stay at Inter. This season was not good, but that has little or nothing to do with him. He faced a considerable number of unfavorable circumstances that hindered his work, but he always worked with dedication and passion."

Although Moratti is no longer the president of Inter, as the main shareholder he continues to make important decisions and can choose the team's coach, as well as which players to buy, sell, etc.

For some time, there were discussions that Zaccheroni would be dismissed if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League. Possible candidates to replace him were mentioned as the coaches of Roma clubs, Roberto Mancini and Fabio Capello.

Tomorrow is the last round of Serie A and Inter must defeat Empoli away if they want to secure fourth place and a spot in the Champions League.
