The England national team has included the new "Everton" club acquisition Andy Johnson in the squad for the qualification for the 2008 European Championship.
The 25-year-old striker will replace the injured Dean Ashton. A. Johnson can take the field when England faces Andorra on September 2nd at "Old Trafford" stadium, and will then travel to Macedonia four days later.
"Man Utd" newcomer Michael Carrick, who missed a friendly match against Greece, which England won 4-0, is also returning to the lineup.
However, his team mate Gary Neville will miss both qualification matches due to a calf injury and will be unable to play for a few weeks.
The team also misses G. Neville's club mate striker Wayne Rooney, who is suspended for both matches for an incident involving Cristiano Ronaldo in the World Cup quarterfinals against Portugal.
