A little later, "Schalke" could have doubled the lead, but twice the home team players hesitated to pass to their team mates in better positions and failed to score themselves.
However, at the end of the match, "Schalke" managed to double the score - after a precise pass from Lincoln, Halil Altintop did not miss another opportunity and scored the second goal for the team. After the victory, the Gelsenkirchen club climbed to the top spot in the Bundesliga, but after the remaining round matches, they will likely have to give it up to their competitors.
