The club "Hamburger" from the port city of Germany continues to fail to live up to the name of favorites - in the third round of the Bundesliga, "Hamburger" played a draw for the third time in a row and still haven't won a game this season.
However, this time the opponent was truly strong - Berlin's "Hertha". After about twenty minutes the hosts "Hamburger" broke ahead - Rafael van der Vaart passed the ball into the penalty area, C. Benjamin headed the ball closer to the goal, and B. Sanogo finished this combination with a precise header and scored the third goal this season. By the way, it is worth mentioning that R. van der Vaart got injured during this match and was forced to end his performance in the 54th minute.
Just ten minutes later, "Hertha" player C. Gimenez equalized the score. The hosts' coach tried to continue fighting for the victory and brought in the third forward, Paolo Guerrero. The forward, who had transferred from the "Bayern" team, livened up the game, had opportunities, but failed to utilize them and both teams ended the match with a 1-1 draw.
In the other evening match between "Mainz" and "Eintracht", the same result of 1-1 was recorded. For a long time, after I. Amanatidis' header goal, the guests from Frankfurt were leading, but with just a few minutes left in the match, the hosts managed to equalize the score. It is worth mentioning that due to red cards, "Eintracht" had to finish the match with only nine players.
