Javiero Saviola's agent has confirmed that Birmingham City, a team in the English Premier League, is showing strong interest in his client and would like to acquire him.
The 24-year-old football player belongs to a team, but has not been playing there and has spent the last two years at Monaco and Sevilla.
Apart from Aston Villa, foreign clubs showing interest in J. Saviola include Arsenal, Hamburger, and Bolton in London, but according to the football player's agent Alfredo Cabreros, Birmingham City has presented the most acceptable offer.
However, Aston Villa, who recently ended negotiations with Celtic for Stiliyan Petrov, head coach Martin O'Neill admits that they will have to seriously compete with other Spanish clubs such as Celta Vigo, Zaragoza, and Villarreal for the Argentine's signature.
It is believed that the future of J. Saviola should become clear on Wednesday.
