With just over a day remaining until the close of the transfer window, the club has reached an agreement with "Hamburger" for the transfer of left-back Juan Pablo Sorino.
Currently playing in the Bundesliga, "Hamburger" agreed on a 3-year contract with the Argentine and is ready to finalize all remaining details by midnight tomorrow. It is estimated that the player will cost the German club around 3 million euros.
Last week, Hamburg's club was left by Khalid Boulahrouz who moved to Chelsea in London, and before the start of the Champions League group stage, the team hopes to strengthen their defensive positions.
The team has already been joined by Joris Mathijsen, but sports director Dietmar Beiersdorfer believes that J.P. Sorino's experience is especially necessary for the club.
"J.P. Sorino is the captain of the Argentine national team, and we have a lot of young players in the team, so it would be great if they could play together with an experienced player," explained D. Beiersdorfer.
The Argentine decided to leave the club when he reached an agreement with "Villarreal" coach Manuel Pellegrini. Several clubs showed interest in the footballer.
