On the last day of the transfer window, the Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven did not waste any time. After announcing the acquisition of the most productive Dutch national team striker Patrick Kluivert, "PSV" confirmed in the last minutes that they also acquired defender Jan Kromkamp.
The Dutch player, who moved from "Villarreal" to England in January, played 18 matches with the "Yellow Submarine", but only started in seven of them. J.Kromkamp will leave England with an FA Cup winner's medal, as he was among the substitutes in last season's tournament final against London's "West Ham".
Upon his return to the Netherlands, J.Kromkamp will have to play against his former club, as he previously represented Alkmaar's "AZ".
