T.Henry urges not to underestimate Scots © EuroFootball.com

After the victories achieved in the 2008 European Championship qualifying B group matches in Tbilisi with a score of 3-0 against Georgia, the forward of the French national team emphasized that progress should not be underestimated in this group.

"Everyone talks about France, Italy, some even about Ukraine, but I know that Scotland will not give up in this group just because of the opponents. There are always high hopes in Scotland - and that makes them dangerous. I have been playing in England for a long time, I often face Scottish footballers and I know their mentality. They always have great hope and belief," said T.Henry.

The Frenchman singled out two players among the Scots and reminded that the Italians had trouble with Scotland in the last World Cup qualifying tournament: "They already played against Italy in the previous qualifying matches and everyone expected them to beat Scotland 2-0 or 3-0, but it didn't happen and the Scots played equally. Another thing is that they have two or three high-quality young players, about whom I know from the Premier League - such as Darren Fletcher and James McFadden - and after a convincing victory they will have confidence in their abilities."

"I think that there may be quite a few surprises in this group, like Italy's draw with Lithuania. Usually the powerful countries still overcome the qualifying barrier, but it doesn't always happen, so you always have to be very careful before writing off the opponents," said the Arsenal player from London.

Tomorrow, that is Wednesday, in Paris the favorites of the group France and Italy will meet in a World Cup final rematch, and on the same day Scotland will face Lithuania in Kaunas.
