The 24-year-old footballer officially shook hands with , though Scottish club owner Vladimir Romanov offered him a lucrative contract at the last minute.
The defender refused to extend his contract with Hearts last season and as a result was removed from the main squad and did not play in the team since April. Deciding to leave the team, the player submitted the aforementioned statement at the end of the season and refused to attend the preseason training camp in Austria.
A.Webster took advantage of the FIFA opportunity for players whose third year is in the four-year contracts to move to a foreign team, with the player's former club receiving only a small compensation.
