The club's attacker Darius Vassellas has dropped out of the lineup for the next two weeks due to a strained knee.
The former England national team player suffered the injury during the English Premier League 3rd round match against Arsenal, in which Manchester's players sensationally won 1-0.
"It's a big loss, but these things always happen during the season," said the team's head coach Stuart Pearce to the club's website. "Vass is at home, resting at the moment, and we hope that the injury is not serious and won't require surgery."
