The World Champion who has become a member of the Italian national team has extended his contract with the club and will now represent them until July 2011.
A. Pirlo's current contract was valid until 2008, but on Thursday the club announced that the defender had extended his contract for another three years.
The Italian, who plays in the position of a central midfielder, left the "Inter" team located in Milan in 2001 and moved to "Milan", having previously worn the shirts of "Brescia" and "Reggina" teams.
Amidst the corruption scandal involving the "Milan" club, the player was courted by England's "Man Utd", but the 27-year-old Italian remained loyal and promised to tie his future to the Milan team.
At the beginning of this week, Georgian national team defender Kakha Kaladze also extended his contract with "Milan" until 2011.
