On Sunday, the last two remaining matches of the French football "Ligue 1" 5th round were played, after which the leadership position was regained by the "Marseille" club, which won another victory.

This time, in the central match of the round, the "Marseille" players confidently and quite easily defeated the Paris "P.S.G" team 1-3 away and secured their fourth win in five matches.

The Marseille team took the lead in the 7th minute of the match when Mamadou Niang successfully converted a penalty kick from 11 meters into the "P.S.G" goal. Just 15 minutes later, the leader of "P.S.G" attacks Pedro Pauleta scored an identical goal from the 11-meter mark, leveling the score, but that was all that the Paris club managed to create in this match. It is worth noting that this was only the first goal conceded by "Marseille" this season.

Meanwhile, "Marseille" continued to attack and earned another penalty kick in the 67th minute, which was successfully converted by the young Samir Nasri. Although the first attempt by the young Frenchman was saved by the opponents' goalkeeper, Nasri managed to put the ball into the net on the second try, thus bringing his team ahead. The final point in this match was scored by Mickael Pagis, who sent the third goal past Mickael Landreau's goal in the penultimate minute of the match.

In the other Sunday matches, the unexpectedly successful "Toulouse" and "Nancy" teams met. The hosts of the match, "Toulouse" players, took the lead in this match, but in the second half, the "Nancy" team was already in the lead by about 20 minutes. However, the players of Toulouse did not give up, and in the final minute of the match, Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro managed to equalize the score.

It is worth mentioning that from the 58th minute, "Toulouse" had to play with one player less on the field, as the scorer of the first goal, Laurent Batlles, was sent off the field.
