Former Serbian national team and club captain Dejan Stefanović will undergo an X-ray to determine whether he has broken his toe.

The 31-year-old player suffered an injury playing just 66 minutes in Saturday's match against Wigan. Portsmouth won the match 1-0, but the defender will have to miss next week's game against Charlton.

This season, the Serbian is playing on the left side of defense for the team, with Sol Campbell and Linvoy Primus forming the central defensive duo.

"It will be a big loss if Dejan has to miss several matches, but Linvoy is currently in fantastic form," said head coach Harry Redknapp.

If the worst fears about D.Stefanovičius come true, Portsmouth will move Matt Taylor from midfield to the left-back position.
