Once again, Milan's "Inter" disappointed their fans, failing to beat the mid-table "Sampdoria" at home. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. This was the second poor result in a row for the Milan club. In the previous match, the "black and blues" lost 1-0 to the Lisbon, "Sporting" team.
In the first half, the guest goalkeeper Luca Castellazzi played brilliantly. The Italian made several incredible saves, stopping dangerous shots from Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Hernan Crespo, and Maicon. "Sampdoria" also had chances to break ahead towards the end of the first half, but the attackers of this club lacked a bit of accuracy.
The second half started intensely. Initially, "Inter" forward H. Crespo almost scored, and a few seconds later, Ivan Cordoba fouled Francesco Flachi in the penalty area, and the referee awarded a penalty to the visitors. The same F. Flachi successfully converted the penalty, and the visitors unexpectedly took the lead.

In the other match, "Reggina" managed to snatch a victory at home with a score of 2-1 against the still point-less "Cagliari".
The hosts took the lead in the 52nd minute when Alessandro Lucarelli scored a headed goal, but "Cagliari" did not break, and after 10 minutes, Mauro Esposito earned a penalty for the away team, which David Suazo successfully converted. However, the hosts had the last laugh in this match - in the fourth minute of added time, Rolando Bianchi scored his 4th goal of the season, giving his team their first victory and three important points.
