Sebastian Deisler, the defender of Bayern Munich, is recovering from a knee injury suffered six months ago and has already started training with the amateur team.
The 26-year-old footballer, who has already experienced his fifth career injury, got injured in March and had to miss the World Cup during the summer.
Deisler greeted his first training session after a six-month break with joy, but Bayern club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge doubts whether the German will be able to join the team quickly for the Bundesliga matches.
"He was out for six months, and despite his great optimism, we have to be patient and interested in ensuring that the consequences of the injury completely disappear," Rummenigge said.
Deisler has been representing Bayern since 2002 and in four years, due to various injuries and treatment for depression, he has played only 58 matches for the club (scoring 8 goals).
By the way, another Munich player, Andreas Gorlitz, who also belongs to the Bayern team, has started training with the amateur team due to injury after a long break.
