On Friday evening, in the German Bundesliga championship, the eleventh teams faced off between Gladbach and Borussia Dortmund. The victory was decided by a single goal from Gladbach's forward Kahe.

In the first half, Gladbach players dominated, but the visitors from Dortmund also created several real opportunities to score. After thirteen minutes, Borussia's newcomer Alexander Frei easily broke into the penalty area, but the Swiss hesitated to take a shot and allowed the defenders to clear the ball.
But just a minute later, the home team responded with an attack that ended with a goal. In the 39th minute, Gladbach's defender Oliver Kirchas passed the ball from the right flank to his teammate Kahe, who did his job and sent the ball into the net. This was already his fourth goal in this championship.
This victory lifted Gladbach, who now have nine points, to the top of the standings. They are now one point ahead of Nurnberg and Berlin's Hertha, who can reclaim the leader's position already on Saturday if the capital club defeats Mainz, and Nurnberg wins against Cottbus on Sunday.
