On Saturday, the 6th round of the "Premier" league division in England saw 6 out of 8 matches played. Dominating victories were achieved by the teams of "Liverpool," "Arsenal," and "Chelsea," while "Man City" defeated "West Ham," "Wigan" had to settle for a draw against newcomers "Watford," and a surprising twist was presented by the newcomer "Reading," who played to a draw at home against "Man Utd."
The 6th round of the "Premier" league started with a match between "Liverpool" and "Tottenham." The London club, looking increasingly unimpressive, failed to take points from "Anfield" today, losing to the hosts only in the last half-hour of the game.
In the second half, the hosts started with more initiative. In the 51st minute, Dirk Kuyt played with C.Bellamy, and the latter's shot missed narrowly. Later, a very dangerous "Tottenham" attack followed - Edgar Davids passed the ball to his teammate Jermaine Jenas, who missed the goal from a promising position.
On the other hand, in the latest Saturday game, the hosts "Reading" welcomed the "Man Utd" eleven at their "Madejski" stadium. The first dangerous moment was created by the Manchester players, as Wayne Rooney shot powerfully from 22 meters in the 2nd minute, but his shot was deflected by "Reading" goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann.
As the final whistle approached in these matches, T. Henry helped lead these games to a successful conclusion - the Frenchman's header after Emmanuel Eboue's cross directed the ball towards the goal.
In other matches, Birmingham's "Aston Villa" hosted visitors from London - "Charlton." Martin O'Neill's protégés secured another victory and climbed from fifth to fourth place in the league table. In the 35th minute, Gabriel Agbonlahor scored his team's first goal, and in the middle of the second half, Luke Moore doubled the score and thus gifted another beautiful victory to all their fans.
Meanwhile, London's "West Ham" suffered defeat away to the "Man City" club. Georgios Samaras scored two goals for his team. "Blackburn" also achieved victory, with a minimal advantage over "Middlesbrough."
The match between "Wigan" and "Watford" ended in a 1-1 draw. The hosts took the lead in the 29th minute with a precise Henry Camara shot, but in the middle of the second half, in the 63rd minute, the balance was restored by Hamuer Bouazza.
