trategist Rafael Benitez from Spain defends his decision to constantly change the team's lineup, even though the same lineup has not been on the field for 93 consecutive matches.

It is expected that R. Benitez will name a different lineup for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match at home against "Galatasaray."

"Sometimes you have to protect the players, even if they don't like it," the strategist told journalists. "They want to play in every match, but I need to look at the bigger picture."

"You can't play 65 matches in a season, so sometimes it's better to rest the players so they are fresh for important matches at the end of the season when trophies can be won," said the Spaniard.

Liverpool has not won their last five Champions League matches, and if they don't win against "Galatasaray," it will be their worst result in the club's history.

"You can talk about statistics, but compared to last year, the players have changed, so the statistics will change as well," explained R. Benitez. "We earned good draws against PSV, now we need to win the home matches. If we manage to do that, we will move forward."

All teams in Group C are currently tied for first place, as the first round of matches ended in a 0-0 draw.

“Liverpool” defender Luis Garcia did not spare kind words for the team's coach, stating that the coach has assembled a better team than the one that became European champions two years ago.

“We believe that we are now a better team, but we need to prove it,” the Spaniard said. “Two years ago we became European champions, but people want more.”

“Everyone wanted us to win last year as well, but it was really difficult,” said the Spanish national team defender. “Not every team can triumph two years in a row. Now we need to win again and prove that we are a good team.”
