Scotland national team and Liverpool defender Gary Naysmith has been ruled out for at least six weeks due to a knee injury.
The 27-year-old footballer got injured in the last Premier League match against Newcastle (1-1), when he collided with opponent Obafemi Martins.
As reported by Everton team physiotherapist Mick Rathbone, former Edinburgh Hearts player G. Naysmith will not play until November.
"Gary's tests showed that he has severely strained his knee ligaments and will be unable to play for at least six weeks," - officially stated M. Rathbone on the club's website.
The Scottish player, who is in his seventh season with Everton, will also miss the national team's qualifying matches for the 2008 European Championship against France and Ukraine next month.
