n the "Premier" league of Scotland, three matches of the 9th round took place. This time, all victories were won by the clubs playing at their home arenas. The championship underdog "Motherwell" poured all their anger on "Kilmarnock" and won 5-0, after a few consecutive failures, newcomer "St Mirren" broke the resistance of "Hibernian", and "Inverness" snatched a victory against "Dunfermline".

More goals were seen in the match between the underdog "Motherwell" and the strong middle-of-the-table team "Kilmarnock". The home team's most prolific player Richie Foran opened the scoring, already scoring five goals this season, soon followed by Mark Reynolds doubling the score, and a few minutes later Brian Kerr also scored.

In the second half, "Kilmarnock" tried to salvage the match but at the end of the game conceded two more goals. In the 82nd minute, Scott McDonald sent the ball into the net, and four minutes later the same S. McDonald struck again, helping his team to win the first victory at their home arena.

In another match at "Caledonian" stadium, the hosts "Inverness" welcomed "Dunfermline". The only goal of the match came in the 90th minute when "Inverness" player Ross Tokely sent the ball into Dorus de Vries' goal.

Despite this loss, "Dunfermline" still leads "Motherwell" by one point in the championship.

The championship newcomer "St Mirren" managed to rebuild their reputation after several failures in front of the fans, defeating "Hibernian" players by a narrow margin. The goal in the 39th minute of the first half was scored by David van Zanten.

This victory allowed the "St. Mirren" club to surpass Glasgow "Rangers" by points and rise to third place in the standings. On Sunday, the leaders Glasgow "Celtic" and Edinburgh "Hearts" will play against "Falkirk" and "Dundee Utd" respectively, while "Rangers" will face "Aberdeen".
