On Friday and Saturday, four matches of the 6th round of the Dutch "Eredivisie" championship were played. On Friday, the underdog "NEC" celebrated victory by defeating "Heracles" 2-0, while on Saturday, newcomer "Excelsior" won the Rotterdam city derby against "Sparta", "Twente" beat Waalwijk's "RKC" in a seven-goal thriller, and "Willem" lost at home with a minimal result to "Roda" from Kerkrade city.

On Friday, the only matches of the Dutch championship's 6th round took place. The last-place team in the league, "NEC", faced "Heracles". The visitors from Almelo suffered their second consecutive defeat, this time against "NEC" with a 2-0 result, helping them secure their first victory in these championships.

"NEC" hero of the match was Said Boutahar, who scored two goals, taking his team ahead in the 11th minute and doubling their lead just 16 minutes before the end of the match, securing their first victory.

In the match on Saturday, the hosts from Tilburg, "Willem", welcomed the visitors from Kerkrade - "Roda". The 5th-placed "Roda" club once again showed their good form and won in the visitors' arena by a 1-0 result. Adil Ramzi scored the winning goal in the 63rd minute.

In another match, the Rotterdam city derby saw the championship discovery "Excelsior" face "Sparta". The fantastic-looking "Excelsior" clinched their third victory and rose to 5th place in the standings.

The most exciting matches took place in Enschede, where local "Twente" overcame Waalwijk's "RKC" resistance in a seven-goal thriller. The visitors took the lead when Tim Janssen scored in the 17th minute, and seven minutes later, Pius Ikedia increased the advantage. At the end of the first half, Orlando Engelaar softened the scoreline.

In the second half, "RKC" player T.Janssen scored the third goal for the team, and it seemed like the hosts would have to leave the pitch with their heads down. However, they showed once again that they needed to play until the referee's final whistle.

In the 70th minute, "Twente" reduced "RKC's" lead to a minimum when Sharbel Touma scored. Three minutes later, the result became level at 3-3, as Blaise N'Kufo sent the ball into "RKC's" goal. In the final minutes, the hosts managed to snatch all three points in this match when Kennedy Bakircioglu scored a goal.
