Argentine says goodbye to the club. The contract of former Argentinian national team defender has ended and he decided not to stay in Italy.

"I am very sorry to leave Milan, but I have to play. I understand that there are only a few years left in my career, and Milan executives also understood this. I want to thank the fans for all the love they gave me over all these years. I will always be a fan of Milan. I will decide in which club I will play after the tour in China, but still I can't play for another Italian team after Milan," the player said on the official website of the Italian champions.

34-year-old Redondo won the Champions League in 2000 and was voted the best player in the league. After such a successful season, Milan bought him for 18 million euros, but just a month later, Redondo suffered a serious knee injury and had to undergo treatment for two years. Last season, he returned to the field and won the Champions League, and this year he only played eight times but won the title of Italian champions.
