Shaken by Luke Moore's injury, an English club has added a new striker Chris Sutton and signed a contract with him until the end of this season.
The 33-year-old veteran, who became a free agent after his services were refused by Birmingham last season, became the third player invited by the new team's coach Martin O'Neill.
Stilian Petrov and Didier Agathe, who like C. Sutton are former M. O'Neill pupils at Glasgow Celtic, have already joined Aston Villa this offseason.
Aston Villa urgently needed a forward because the young team player Luke Moore suffered a shoulder injury and will not be able to play most of this season.
Veteran C. Sutton has played for Norwich, Blackburn, Chelsea, Birmingham, and Celtic teams.
