Portugal national team and club goalkeeper Hugo Viana publicly spoke about his desire to move to another club during the winter transfer window.
The 23-year-old Portuguese arrived at "Valencia" last season on a loan agreement, and eventually signed a long-term contract with the Spanish club. "Valencia" paid 2 million euros to Newcastle United for the goalkeeper at that time.
After a successful performance by Viana in the World Cup, "Valencia" received an offer to sell the player for 6 million euros, but rejected it. However, it seems that this season, Valencia's head coach Quique Flores does not see a place for the Portuguese player in the starting lineup, so the player spoke about his desire to leave.
Viana, with a contract with Valencia until 2011, categorically denied that he would like to return to England or Portugal and stated that the ideal scenario would be to sign a loan agreement with another team from the Spanish Primera league before the start of the season.
"Valencia" has not experienced any losses so far after a strong start in this year's Spanish football championship and is sharing the first position with last year's champion "Barcelona."
