The second most productive player of this season's English Premier League has signed a new contract with the club and will stay at Upton Park until 2011.
The 25-year-old striker has had an impressive start to this season – scoring five out of six goals for the entire West Ham team. However, the team is not showing such successful play and is currently only in 16th place in the league table.
"I am pleased to have extended my contract with the club and now I am preparing to continue my future at Upton Park," the player told the club's website. "I have been playing here for three years and this is the best place. This is my team and wearing the dark red and blue shirts is everything I have always wanted to do."
"Personally, this season started fantastically for me, and although the results have not been great lately, I hope the team will soon return to the path of victories. The team spirit is amazing and we are working intensely to change the course of events. If we stay focused and believe in ourselves, I think the results will come soon."
B. Zamora ended up in the West Ham team in a swap deal when in 2004 the club traded him for Jermaine Defoe, who moved to Tottenham.
The player started his career in 1999 at Bristol Rovers, but just a year later he was loaned out to Bath City, where he played only six matches before being loaned to Brighton. He eventually transferred to this club permanently and represented them for three years until he was bought by Tottenham for £1.5 million in 2003.
