Having started the season poorly and currently occupying the penultimate place in the French championship, the club announced on Monday that they have temporarily relieved head coach Laszlo Boloni of his duties, assigning assistant coach Laurent Banide to take over temporarily.

L. Boloni, who arrived from "Rennes" to Monaco in the summer, did not participate in the team's training session on Monday, which was led by L. Banide.

"Laszlo Boloni has been temporarily relieved of his duties, and until a decision is made, he will be replaced by Laurent Banide," club president Michel Pastor announced at a press conference on Monday.

When asked if L. Boloni has been dismissed, the president did not give a clear answer.

"We need to finalize a few contract details in the coming days," M. Pastor said. "We don't want to blame Boloni, but we are going through tough times. It is probably normal to look for a solution when the team is in 19th place in the league table."

"Monaco," who played in the 2004 UEFA Champions League final, declared before this season that they were aiming to compete in European tournaments. However, after ten rounds, they have only gathered seven points and are at the bottom of the league table.

M. Pastor, speaking with journalists, stated that the 38-year-old L. Banide has enough experience and could "if necessary" lead the team until the end of the season.
