UEFA Cup owners will have to do without the Brazilian forward Luis Fabiano for at least a month, as he tore a muscle in his right leg.
The 25-year-old Brazilian national team forward suffered the injury in Sunday's match against "Gimnastic" de Tarragona, which "Sevilla" won 2-1.
Since Uruguayan national team forward Javier Ernesto Chevanton is also unavailable due to a back injury, "Sevilla" coach Juande Ramos only has two nominal forwards: Kepa and Frederic Kanoute.
Indeed, F. Kanoute and D. Milito are the top scorers of this season's Spanish league, having scored seven goals each.
"Sevilla" currently holds third place after seven rounds in the Spanish league and is competing in the group stage of the UEFA Cup.
