Ireland's national team and club's main goalkeeper Shay Given has recovered from a serious injury and returned to team training.
The 30-year-old player was injured in a match against West Ham on September 17 when he collided with striker Marlon Harewood and hurt his abdomen, being taken to the hospital.
Given was replaced by reserve goalkeeper Steve Harper at Newcastle United, but the team only managed to collect two out of a possible 18 points in the Premier League during that time.
Last season, S. Given was named Newcastle's Player of the Year.
Currently, Newcastle is only in the 17th position in the English Premier League, but they are currently participating in the UEFA Europa League successfully.
