Spanish national team and Real Madrid defender Jose Antonio Reyes has stated that he never wants to return to the London club.
The 23-year-old Spaniard is currently on loan to the royal club until the end of the season, while in exchange, Julio Baptista has been loaned to the London club for the same period.
The former "Sevilla" star was bought by the London team in 2004 for 10 million pounds sterling. The footballer was determined to return to his homeland – eventually on the last day of the transfer window, he was loaned to Real Madrid.
It is expected that both J. A. Reyes and J. Baptista will sign long-term contracts with their new clubs. J. A. Reyes is convinced that he will not return to England.
In an interview with "FourFourTwo" magazine, the footballer said: "I tried to adapt in England, so did my family. I can't even think about returning there. Everything closes at 5 pm in England: there is nothing to do, nowhere to go. I was just bored."
"I don't think I didn't fit in the Premier League, but English football is very tough. I wouldn't say that comfort is returning to Spain, but here I am happy. I always wanted to play for Real Madrid and I would gladly finish my career here. I hope we will win something this season and prove that we are a new team. I am confident that we can do it," the footballer said.
