Over the weekend, the 10th round of matches took place in the Italian championship. The leaders "Inter", "Palermo", and "Roma" secured convincing victories, while "Milan" lost to the "Atalanta" team.

Milan's "Inter" continued their winning streak, defeating "Ascoli" 2-0 at home. The hosts took the lead in the 41st minute when Zlatan Ibrahimović broke through the defenders and passed the ball to Hernan Crespo, who directed the ball to Javier Zanetti, and the "Inter" captain sent the ball into the empty net.

In the 53rd minute, Z. Ibrahimović passed the ball to an unmarked Luis Figo, who then attempted to pass the ball to his teammate Hernan Crespo, but on the way, Ascoli defender Mirko Cudini redirected the ball into his own goal, making the score 2-0.

However, the visitors also had a chance to score in the match when in the 65th minute, a handball by Maicon in his team's penalty area resulted in a penalty kick for the visitors. But Michele Fini's shot was saved by "Inter" goalkeeper Julio Cesar.

In the beginning of the match, "Roma" found themselves in a chasing role, but managed to recover and secure a convincing 3-1 home victory against the "Fiorentina" team. In the 15th minute, a corner kick was raised near the hosts' goal, and Czech player Tomas Ujfalusi successfully sent the ball into the net.

In the 38th minute, the capital club equalized. Daniele De Rossi scored a great goal, sending the ball from 30 meters straight into the "nine" of the goal. Four minutes after the end of the second half, Brazilian Rodrigo Taddei struck the ground and brought "Roma" forward, and in the 66th minute, the same player again sent the ball into the net, securing his team's victory.

"Palermo" prevented "Inter" from taking the lead in the league table at home by beating the "Sampdoria" club 2-0. In the 35th minute, Sicily's team captain Eugenio Corini put his team ahead with a penalty kick, and Cristiano Zaccardo sealed the victory in the 70th minute with a precise shot from a close distance.

"Milan" continued their poor performance in the "Serie A" away match, losing 0-2 to "Atalanta". In the 50th minute, the Bergamo club took the lead when former "Inter" forward Nicola Ventola sent the ball into the top corner of the goal. In the 75th minute, the "Milan" club was left with ten men after Gennaro Gattuso was injured, and the team's coach Carlo Ancelotti had already used all his substitutions. Taking advantage of this, the hosts secured the victory in the 90th minute thanks to a goal by Andrea Soncin.

"Livorno", this time playing without Tomo Danilevičius, secured a victory at home against the "Udinese" team with a score of 1-0. The visitors were left with ten men in the 70th minute after Antonio Di Natale received a red card, and the hosts took advantage of this to snatch the victory thanks to Ibrahim Bakayoko's goal.

At home, "Empoli" played a 1-1 draw with "Lazio". The Rome club took the lead after Goran Pandev's goal in the 17th minute, but in the 72nd minute, they were left with ten men after Emilson Sanchez Cribari received a red card. However, "Empoli" suffered even more as they were soon reduced to nine men after two red cards shown to their players. Nevertheless, the hosts did not give up and remarkably equalized in the 84th minute after Mirco Gasparetto's goal five minutes earlier.

The "Torino" team hit the crossbar twice but managed to play a 1-1 draw at home against the "Messina" team. The Sicilian club took the lead after Nicolas Cordova's goal, but the Turin team managed to equalize when Roberto Stellone scored.
