The young team goalkeeper will soon join the Spanish championship and UEFA Cup winners. The goalkeeper has signed a 5-year contract with the Spanish club. Butelle is the main goalkeeper of the French youth (up to 21 years old) national team. Negotiations for the player's contract have been ongoing since the winter.
Speaking on the "Metz" team's website, Butelle said: "Valencia is a great European club. I have thought a lot about this step, as it is a breakthrough in my career. They were looking for a young goalkeeper playing at the highest level."
The new player is also satisfied with "Valencia" coach Rafael Benitez, who hopes that Butelle will provide serious competition for Santiago Canizares and Andres Palop.
