Portugal's national team and Deportivo La Coruna's defender Jorge Andrade, after suffering a serious knee injury that kept him out of play for even eight months, has returned to the team lineup and is included in the lineup for Wednesday's Spanish Cup ("King's Cup") fourth round match against Racing Santander.
The 28-year-old player, who has not played since the beginning of March, suffered a knee injury in a match against the Spanish and European champions Barcelona.
In addition, the center-back did not help the Portuguese national team in this summer's World Cup and also missed several months of the season for Deportivo.
"Time has passed very quickly," Andrade said to the Spanish media on Tuesday. "I feel as if nothing had happened. It is time to play official matches again."
This Saturday, Deportivo drew 1-1 with Barcelona in the 9th round of the national championship, and now they will travel to Santander, where they will face the local Racing in the King's Cup, whom they defeated 1-0 two weeks ago.
Deportivo is currently in 7th place in the Spanish league with 15 points, just six points behind leaders Sevilla.
