Another Failure of "Milan" © EuroFootball.com

On Saturday, two matches were played in the Italian league. "Milan" suffered another defeat, losing to the "Roma" team, while "Fiorentina" secured a victory after a long break.

"Milan" suffered their fourth defeat in the last five "Serie A" matches, losing 1-2 at home to the "Roma" team.

Alessandro Nesta's mistake in the 7th minute allowed Rodriggo Taddei to score after a pass from his teammate Christian Panucci and the Brazilian passed the ball to the team captain Francesco Totti, who scored a great goal past the opponent's goalkeeper Dida.

However, "Milan" did not give up after this goal and pressured the opponent's goal, which paid off in the 56th minute. During a corner kick near the visitors' goal, the ball was cleared from the penalty area, but it was received by Cristian Brocchi and his shot from 25 meters flew into the "Roma" goal. The capital team's goalkeeper couldn't react in time, as his view was blocked by his teammate Christian Chivu.

Still, "Roma" managed to snatch the victory after another goal by Francesco Totti. The Italian scored with his head in the 83rd minute, receiving a pass from his teammate Mancini.

In other matches, "Fiorentina" found themselves trailing but managed to win at home against the "Atalanta" team with a score of 3-1.

The visitors took the lead in the 25th minute after a goal by Giulio Migliaccio, but within a minute the hosts equalized. The "Atalanta" goalkeeper saved a shot by Giampaolo Pazzini with his head, but Adrian Mutu was the first to reach the rebound and directed it towards the goal.

As the match approached the end, the "Atalanta" player Andrea Soncin was lying on the ground due to injury, but the "Fiorentina" players did not stop their attack, which was successfully finished with a goal by striker Giampaolo Pazzini. The same player scored another goal after three minutes during a counterattack, completely crushing the opponents' hopes of securing at least a point.
