On Wednesday, the strength of the Lithuanian youth team (up to 21 years old) was tested in a friendly match against the team of their Latvian counterparts at the artificial turf pitch in Kaunas, where they suffered a minimal defeat.

In the first half, the Lithuanian footballers took the initiative, creating several dangerous moments but failing to capitalize on them. The visitors also had a dangerous attack. The first half ended goalless.
In the 61st minute, Latvian players launched a counterattack, during which Riga's "Skonto" forward Ivans Lukjanovs broke through against the Lithuanian team's goalkeeper and scored - 1-0. The Lithuanians could not equalize and ended up losing.
