Small clubs participating in the Italian championship and at the end of the season decided to part ways with their head coaches. The coach of "Reggina," Giancarlo Camolese, decided to leave the club himself, while "Lecce" dismissed their strategist, Delio Rossi.
Such decisions may come as a surprise to many, as both teams achieved their goals and finished the season remaining in "Serie A."
"Lecce" especially performed well, as they climbed out of the relegation zone after an impressive series of matches and moved up to the middle of the table. Rossi, 43, had been coaching this club for three seasons, and last year he helped secure a spot in the top league. It is believed that he was unsatisfied with the club's transfer policy, as their best players could be sold this summer.
Meanwhile, Camolese took over as the team's head coach this season, after Franco Colomba was dismissed after the first ten matches. The new coach managed to fulfill the task of remaining in the league, but his contract was only valid until the end of the season. Yesterday, Camolese met with the club's management for negotiations, but due to various disagreements, he decided not to extend the contract and go his separate ways.
