One of the most famous footballers in the world, goalkeeper David Beckham, complains of suffering pain in his knee and for this reason he will not help Fabio Capello's coached Madrid team in the 10th round match of the Spanish "Primera" league against Santander's "Racing" on Saturday.

As reported by the "Real" club on Friday, the former long-time player and captain of the England national team has torn his meniscus in his left knee and therefore has not trained all week.

The 31-year-old player has appeared relatively infrequently in the main lineup of the "Real" team this season, but has already scored one goal in the championship.

Meanwhile, Brazilian striker Ronaldo is still recovering from a strained tendon in his left knee, and Italian national team striker Antonio Cassano will not play due to tactical reasons.

Madrid's "Real", currently in 3rd place in the national championship and just three points behind the defending champions "Barcelona", will host visitors from Santander's "Racing" at home at the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium this weekend, with the visitors in 14th place.
