The national team of the Netherlands and the right-winger of the English champions Chelsea, Arjen Robben, states that he will consider his options if the team's head coach Jose Mourinho continues to rotate the starting lineup throughout the season.
The 22-year-old player, who appeared in only ten of the team's 20 matches this season, wants to feature more often in the main team.
"If I don't play regularly in the starting lineup, I will have to consider other options," Robben told the "News of the World" newspaper. - "There are many players here who do nothing and get paid, but I don't want to be one of them. I'm too young for that."
The relationship between Robben and coach J. Mourinho has turned cold after the UEFA Champions League group stage match last season against Real Betis when the player was substituted.
However, this season, the attacking winger, who suffered an early injury, could not play for about a month, and Robben revealed that the club promised him more playing time.
"The club said that I will play more often," added the Dutchman - "So we'll wait and see."
If Robben becomes available for transfer, it could attract the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid, as the Spanish club already tried to lure this young Dutch star during the summer.
In 2004, Chelsea acquired the winger from PSV in the Netherlands for £12 million.
This season, representing Chelsea in the English Premier League, the player has not scored a goal yet. After yesterday's victory against West Ham with a score of 1-0, his team remains three points behind the leader Manchester United, with whom they will face off next Saturday at their fortress, Old Trafford stadium.
