It is reported that the club is planning to acquire Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze.
The 26-year-old player could leave France for around 6 million pounds.
Heinze, playing in the position of left center-back, is among the candidates for the Argentine national team for the World Cup qualifying matches.
The Argentine would be a great partner for Rio Ferdinand when he returns from suspension. Heinze's arrival would allow Mikael Silvestre to return to his old position on the left defensive flank, as he has recently played more in the center.
Rumors spread that in January they offered 7 million pounds for Heinze, but club president Francis Graille stated that the player could only leave the club after the season.
