The "Premier" League club from England is facing a tough time as they have lost two key players from their lineup: defender Damien Duff and defender Craig Moore due to injuries, they will only return to the lineup next month.

The 27-year-old Irish national team defender suffered a knee injury in the last "Premier" League match against London's "Arsenal" team, and after yesterday's examination by specialists, it was confirmed that he will be out for several weeks.

Meanwhile, his team mate, 30-year-old Australian national team defender Craig Moore, injured his ankle ligament in the same match and will also be out of the lineup for about the same period. This problem has bothered the defender last season as well.

"Moore and Duff will definitely be out for several weeks, there is no doubt about that," said the team's head coach Glenn Roeder.

Newcastle club has been plagued by injuries this season: strikers Michael Owen and Shola Ameobi will miss a large part of this season, defenders Stephen Carr and Celestine Babayaro missed Thursday's UEFA Cup match against Vigo's "Celta".

Meanwhile, second goalkeeper Steve Harper, who has been filling in for the injured Shay Given, will need surgery for minor groin problems.

Currently, the "Magpies" have only 10 points after 13 matches in the country's championship and find themselves in an unusual 17th position.
